Dr Matt Fanning is a graduate of the University of Queensland. He undertook his training in Respiratory Medicine at the Mater Hospital and the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. He then completed his fellowship in Sleep Medicine at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.
Dr Matt Fanning has published research in the treatment of sleep disorders, pulmonary infection, severe asthma, interstitial lung disease, lung cancer and COPD.
