Accommodation
There are single and shared rooms. Every effort is made to accommodate you in the room of your choice. If your preference is not available at the time of admission, your request will be met as soon as possible. All single rooms have a private ensuite.
Ramsay Pharmacy
Ramsay Pharmacy is John Flynn Private Hospital’s onsite pharmacy situated on the Ground Floor of the Main Hospital Building. Ramsay Pharmacy offers a range of pharmaceutical services, along with giftware, newspapers and magazines, along with an onsite ATM for your convenience.
Open 7:00am to 11:00pm, 7 Days a week!
Jacaranda Cafe
Jacaranda Cafe is located on the Ground Floor of Fred McKay House and offers a range of food options that include delicious hot food, sandwiches, wraps, gourmet toasties, muffins, savoury pastries and decadent sweets, with many gluten free options also available. Their coffee is blended to perfection and also includes a variety of other hot and cold beverages. Newspapers, magazines, flowers and ice creams are also available for purchase (or until sold out).
Jacaranda Cafe is open 7 days a week and has extended hours for you to dine in or takeaway as you please.

Mail, Fax
Patients can send and receive mail and faxes. Mail received after you leave will be forwarded to your home address.
Mobile Phones
When you are admitted please ask our staff if mobiles can be used in your room. Mobiles may be used in all public areas including the coffee shop. John Flynn Private Hospital does not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to your mobile phone.
Newspapers and Magazines
A complimentary copy of the Gold Coast Bulletin is delivered to each patient in the morning, with additional copies and magazines available for purchase at Hudsons Café and Ramsay Pharmacy.
The Red Cross volunteer trolley service also sells sweets in the wards.
Smoking
Smoking is not allowed inside the hospital or 5 metres beyond the hospital boundary. The new laws are enforced by Queensland Health environmental health officers and public facility authorised officers where penalties apply.

Telephones
There is a phone beside every bed and there are public phones on each floor. Local calls are complimentary. STD, International calls are charged to your account.
Television
There is a television next to every bed. The latest films are screened twice daily.
Feedback
Please contact the Hospital Director (execsec.jfp@ramsayhealth.com.au) if you have any feedback. Appreciation, comments and feedback cards are located in patient bedside compendiums.
Religious and Social Services
There is an Ecumenical chaplaincy service offered to all patients and their families. Bedside communion is available and local clergy visit on request.
