Ramsay Health Care is committed to the ongoing education of general practitioners and the wider medical community.

Ramsay Health Care has been a Provider of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) since 2000, offering a wide variety of topics in medicine, surgery, obstetrics & gynaecology, paediatrics and mental health.  These activities are in partnership with our specialists and other health professions delivered as interactive, practical education sessions with a focus on innovation, hands-on involvement and practical tips.

In the 2020-2022 triennium, Ramsay Health Care will provide:

CPD Accredited Activity - 40 points previously Category 1
Including Workshops and expert resources for Peer Group Learning

CPD Activity - 2 points per hour previously Category 2

Navigating Co-Ordinated Cancer Care. Supporting people from diagnois, through treatment to recover or palliative care. 

Implementing integrated and co-ordinated cancer care
Cancer Care Navigator - Accessible for newly diagnosed
patients, needs based
MDTs - Participation and enhancement of MDTs for treatment
planning, connecting specialists with software to support administration
Ramsay Health Plus Outpatient Program - Supporting treatment
and recovery with allied health team
ACTIVATE - Day reconditioning for cancer patients

LEARNING OUTCOMES
• Refer patients with newly diagnosed cancer for assessment and planning by
a specialised MDT
• Identify the GP role as part of a coordinated treatment program including nutrition,
exercise, psychology and support
• Provide information, specialist updates, results and support for their patients and families

After dinner, take a tour through the Day Oncology Unit with your hosts
Dr Alejandro Arbelaez,Haematologist, Dr Ratnesh Srivastav, Oncologist ,Ken Musgrave,Clinical Trials John Flynn Private Hospital.
