Antenatal Classes

Our antenatal class program, together with our Childbirth and Parenting Program booklet, will inform you of the changes happening throughout pregnancy and the birth of your baby. We believe women should be educated about all available options during pregnancy, childbirth and early parenting (including the risks), so that you and your partner can make informed decisions on your journey to become a parent.

The childbirth and parenting classes are designed to give you and your partner the knowledge and confidence help you prepare for parenthood, equipping you with the skills and knowledge to help you make informed choices and decisions about your care.

Childbirth classes is also an ideal occasion to meet and to develop a support network with others going through the same experience.

Each session is designed to cover a variety of topics from pregnancy and labour, through to baby care and parenting skills. Everything you are taught is evidence based and reviewed regularly to ensure that all information is current and accurate.

The classes are run by experienced midwives in both maternity care and education. You will also get the opportunity to ask questions while you consider all your options in a relaxed and informal environment.
