Saba has his paediatric training from the UK and Australia. He also has neonatal fellowship from Monash Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. 

Saba is a member of Royal Australasian College of Physicians and Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (UK). He also holds an Associate Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College for Medical Administrators. He is an enthusiastic medical educator and is a Honorary Adjunct Senior Lecturer with Monash University in Victoria.

Saba has experience in neurodevelopment and behavioural paediatrics with a keen interest in early intervention. He has been working as Consultant Paediatrician in Australia for nearly 10 years and has been the head of paediatric department at a regional hospital in Victoria for the last 6 years. In this role, he has shaped the Trans-disciplinary team based approach to neurodevelopment assessment and early intervention care at his local Hospital. He has recently won an award from the local primary healthcare network for innovation in paediatric service provision. He is certified administrator of Bayley’s Neuro-developmental assessment as well as focused autism assessment tools such as Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised and 3DI - Developmental, Dimensional and Diagnostic Interview.

Saba’s passion is to work with families, communities, schools and medical and allied health professionals to identify the strengths and challenges for each child with the aim to help them flourish and progress to their individual potential with continued holistic growth. 

He has moved from Victoria to be based locally in GoldCoast and will be working at John Flynn Private Hospital. When he is not working, he loves exploring the region on his bike and enjoys his badminton. Saba and his wife have two children.
