With over 13 years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Dr. Singh's journey began with postgraduate training in O&G in Fiji, followed by FRANZCOG Core Training in Sydney’s Westmead and Blacktown hospitals, and advanced training in Queensland at Caboolture Hospital.
Obstetrics
Dr. Singh cherishes each pregnancy and birth, finding excitement in the uniqueness of every birth despite having delivered hundreds of babies. His interest lies in managing high-risk pregnancies affected by pre-existing medical conditions, preventing preterm births, handling Twin pregnancies (including vaginal delivery), performing general obstetric ultrasounds, and managing conditions like GDM and Pre-eclampsia. His dedication to women-centered holistic care extends to supporting various birthing preferences, including water births, VBAC, vaginal birth of twins, and caesarean sections.
Dr. Singh prefers "Gentle Caesarean sections," ensuring immediate skin-to-skin contact between the baby and mother throughout the procedure. He advocates for delayed cord clamping, involving fathers in cord cutting, and ensures comfort as he completes the necessary procedures.
His experience with vaginal breech births, gained through work in Fiji and Westmead Hospital's Breech Clinic, extends to offering ECV and vaginal breech birth options at Caboolture Hospital. Dr. Singh stays updated with the BABE (Be a Breech Expert) course.
Additionally, he actively supports women who have experienced birth trauma, providing personalised care to navigate subsequent pregnancies and deliveries with confidence. His ongoing IVF training with City Fertility aligns with his goal of assisting in conception, ensuring a healthy pregnancy, and delivering a term baby. Dr. Singh believes that while the destination of a "happy baby, happy mum" is crucial, the journey toward that destination is equally significant.
