Anthony is a cardiologist with interests in interventional cardiology plus complex percutaneous intervention and preventative cardiology. Anthony has moved to the Gold Coast with his young family, he is a husband and father to 2 young children. He grew up on the southern Darling Downs and did his undergraduate degree at the University of Queensland before moving to the University of Melbourne to study medicine. He spent most of his registrar years training in Melbourne at St Vincent’s Hospital. Wanting to be closer to family, he moved back to Brisbane as the interventional cardiology fellow at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in 2023. In 2024 he did 12 months abroad with his young family at the prestigious Royal Papworth Hospital, Cambridge, UK as the senior interventional cardiology fellow, concentrating mostly on complex PCI and acute coronary syndrome patients along with structural heart procedures (mainly PFO/ASD).
Always wanting to return to Queensland, he was offered a position as an interventional cardiologist at the Mater Hospital in South Brisbane where he has a public appointment. He has also recently commenced at the new Tweed Valley Hospital as an interventional cardiologist. He does his private consulting on the Gold Coast out of Cardiac Dynamics, in Mermaid Beach. He is young and enthusiastic, and happy to provide a service to a wide range of patients.
