Dr Leong is a general surgeon with interest in Breast and Endocrine surgery. Dr Leong holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, from the University of Queensland. Dr Leong has completed Basic and Advanced Surgical training in Queensland.
In 2008, Dr Leong was admitted as a Fellow in General Surgery of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Dr Leong completed a Breast Surgical Oncology and Endocrine Fellowship year at the New South Wales Breast Cancer Institute, Westmead Hospital.
Dr Leong is a Visiting Consulting Surgeon (VMO) at Breastscreen Queensland and Visiting Consulting Surgeon (VMO) at Breastscreen New South Wales.
Having practiced breast, endocrine surgery on the Gold Coast and Northern NSW for more than 11 years, Dr Leong has considerable experience in the surgical management of breast cancer, thyroid cancer, thyroid nodules, goitres and hyperparathyroidism.
Her interests include oncoplastic breast cancer surgery, breast implant reconstruction, thyroidectomy, parathyroidectomy, selective neck dissection, melanoma and skin cancer surgery.
She is fluent in Chinese (Cantonese), Chinese (Mandarin), Chinese (Hokkien) and Malay.
