How to book

Once your pregnancy has been confirmed and you have arranged an appointment with an obstetrician, please fill in our online booking registration form. You will receive an automatic email reply to confirm that your online registration has been received and then a complete package of booking forms will be forwarded to you in the mail. Please note that your maternity booking at John Flynn Private is not guaranteed until we have received your completed paperwork. To secure your booking, it is advised that you return your booking forms within two weeks of receiving them. Alternatively, you can contact our maternity bookings officer on 07 5598 9034 for information on booking into the maternity unit.

Private Health Insurance

Contact your private health fund who will confirm your level of cover and advise you if there is an excess or co-payment on your policy.

Previous Medical Treatment

If you have been receiving treatment elsewhere – especially outside Australia – please be sure to advise your specialist.

FILM EQUIPMENT IN BIRTH SUITE AND THE OPERATING THEATRE

Ramsay Health Care recognises that unique and special moments arise in hospital that patients, families and friends may wish to capture on film.  John Flynn Private Hospital needs to ensure that patient safety, clinical teamwork, the privacy of other patients, staff members and medical personnel are not compromised.  Devices that record both film and sound are not allowed in the operating suite, birth suites or special care nursery.

Single shot devices that do not record sound are permissible by the agreement of the care team members present at the time.

Film and sound may be recorded in the privacy of a patient’s own room, provided the privacy of other patients and staff members is not compromised.
