Standard Suite

John Flynn Private Hospital Maternity Ward offers private room accommodation. Each Standard Suite has a double bed for the expecting Mum and comes with its own private ensuite. The Standard Suites have enough space to add another single bed for partners should the need be required.

Rooming In

John Flynn Private Hospital encourages a new mother to keep her baby in her room, as this promotes:

Bonding between the mother (and partner) and baby
Opportunities to learn practical parenting skills
Increased confidence
Decreased risk of cross infection

The staff will support mothers in learning and developing skills for caring for her newborn.

Toddlers / Children

Toddlers and children are welcome to visit but are not permitted to stay overnight.

Cost

$400 package * subject to availability

Levels of hospital cover vary between private health insurers and health insurance products.

Some hospital policies may include a ‘family in-hospital benefit’ (or similar benefit) for partner accommodation and meals. You are encouraged to contact your private health insurer to discuss if your hospital policy includes any additional benefits which may be claimed.
