Dr Emmett recently moved from Auckland where she was practising as a Haematologist.. In 2001 she graduated from the University of Cape Town, South Africa with First Class Honours.
After working in South Africa for two years, she moved to London where she obtained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians, UK. In 2007 she moved to Auckland, New Zealand where she continued her physician and then laboratory training and obtained Fellowships of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (Haematology).
She had additional training in Obstetric Medicine including working as an Obstetric Medicine Fellow at BC Women’s Hospital, Vancouver in 2012.
Dr Emmett has presented at local and international conferences including on venous thromboembolism in pregnancy at the conferences of the International Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) and North American Society of Obstetric Medicine (NASOM). She has also presented on Von Willebrand Disease in pregnancy at the conferences of the International Society of Obstetric Medicine (ISOM) and HAA (Haematology Society of Australia and New Zealand).
