Dr Mark Thompson is a Gastroenterologist and the Founder and Managing Partner of the Gastrointestional Centre. Dr Thompson attained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of NSW before commencing his residency at the Royal North Shore Hospital in NSW. He completed his physician training at the Royal Brisbane Hospital and Hornsby Hospital before undertaking gastroenterology training at the Prince of Wales Hospital. He became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians on completion of his training.
Dr Thompson's interests include diagnostic and interventional upper GI endoscopy and colonscopy, endoscopic mucosal resection and screening programmes for colorectal cancer and Barrett's oesophagus.
